Scientific Research and Clinical Studies<\/h3><\/div>

The Osato Research Institute<\/a><\/b> (ORI)\u00a0is a non-profit organization founded in 2004 and based in Gifu, Japan. ORI conducts and coordinates scientific programs and clinical studies<\/strong> that focus on our natural defence systems, healthy living, healthy aging, and Osato \u2018fermented papaya preparation\u2019 or FPP\u00ae<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

World-renowned scientists study the properties of FPP\u00ae and, as members of the scientific committee, have contributed to the scientific proof of the effects of the FPP\u00ae.<\/p>\n

The members of the scientific committee come from different fields and many different countries. They present the results of their research on FPP\u00ae at international academic conferences, at meetings of the scientific committee of ORI, and in scientific journals.<\/p>\n

Below we present the main research and studies that have been conducted on FPP\u00ae.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>

\u201cPapaya is rich in antioxidants and we recently know the importance of the protection provided by antioxidants in our body. We compared five different fruits and two vegetables and found papaya to be the most antioxidant-rich tropical fruit.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIn a preliminary study, on 12 patients suffering from thalassemia, the FPP\u00ae by its antioxidant action allowed a decrease in oxygenated free radicals as well as an increase in the level of glutathione in both red blood cells and platelets.\u201d<\/p>\n
